We are Oasis Youth Chicago.
Our young people have a role to play in seeing Chicago flourish, and we’re going to see it happen in our lifetime. Our heart is to develop, equip and send out our youth, and have fun while doing it. Come along and join us!
The Details
Oasis Youth is for kids aged 6th to 12th Grade.
Times you meet:
- 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7pm (all ages)
- Sundays at 10 am (6th-8th Grade only)
Where you meet
- On Wednesdays, we meet at the Oasis Office (2038 W 18th St) or at locations for special events
- Sundays are at Oasis Church (2156 S Ogden Ave W Chicago, IL)
What to expect
Sundays
Sundays are middle school-focused. After joining in worship for the first 15-20 minutes of service, our youth walk up to the classroom for the rest of our time together. We have discussions, snack, games and prayer time.
High School students are encouraged to stay in service and sit with their parents or with a youth leader. On the first Sunday of the month, they are encouraged to serve on a team, like hospitality or production.
Wednesdays
The first Wednesday is a fun-focused event (short word and discussion, games, food), and the third Wednesday will be discipleship-focused (longer discussion, and teaching, and a light snack provided) .
Every quarter, we have a big event (eg. worship night, local event, trampoline park, etc.).
